Active in winter

Winter hiking

With the first snowfall, the hiking season is anything but over. On a winter hike you walk on prepared paths through snow-covered meadows and forests while the snow crunches under your feet. And at the end of the tour, huts and inns await you with a warm room and hearty or sweet treats.

Tobogganing

It has been quite a while since the toboggan was used as a means of locomotion and transport in winter. Nowadays, tobogganing is both a winter pleasure for the whole family and a popular sporting discipline. After a long walk up the mountain, you've earned your toboggan ride!

Ski touring

Idyllic solitude, untouched snow landscapes and loose powder snow – more and more people are reflecting on nature awareness and deceleration. Reaching the snow-covered summit on just one track and under your own steam and then enjoying the descent through off-piste terrain, far away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded ski resorts – that is the appeal of ski touring.

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing also offers white snowy landscapes, idyllic tranquillity and loose powder snow. With the enlarged foot pads – the snowshoes – you can move easily not only on winter hiking trails, but also in deep snow.

Cross-country skiing

The sky is shining blue, the snow is glistening and the cross-country trail is groomed – it's time to unpack your cross-country skis and glide along the beautiful landscape. Because it demands muscle strength, endurance and balance, cross-country skiing is a varied and at the same time healthy sport that enjoys great popularity.

Ski Freeride

Can powder snow make you feel good? Absolutely! When freeriding, you are not on the prepared piste, but in the middle of the finest powder. Deeply snow-covered slopes in an untouched winter landscape become an unforgettable experience in perfect conditions.

Ice climbing

Ice climbers easily shimmy up frozen waterfalls and icicles. Crampons, ice tools and ice screws provide the necessary grip. This adventurous sport is not for the faint-hearted, because it often involves climbing high up into ice that can be unpredictable in places.

Ski traverse

To cross the lonely, deeply snow-covered winter landscape, to enjoy dreamlike ascents and untracked descents – that is the dream of many winter sports enthusiasts. On a ski traverse, the path becomes the goal. Nothing but snow and mountains form a truly dreamlike setting that crowns winter sports.
