If you are not only looking for a sporting adventure, but also don't want to miss a visual highlight of the Upper Bavarian winter landscape, take on one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing trails in Upper Bavaria: the round tour around Reutberg Monastery near Bad Tölz. Because there, the classically groomed cross-country trail is waiting to show you the beauty of Sachsenkam over 17 kilometres. If you feel like it, you can also shorten the route at various points. The starting point is at the edge of Bad Tölz.

Since most of the route runs through the Ellbach-Kirchseemoor nature reserve, a wide range of Upper Bavarian nature opens up to you - from ancient, sugared pines to small bubbling brooks. The view of the Karwendel massif is just as impressive as the surrounding nature. The route is relatively easy to complete, with no major difficulties apart from an ascent near Ellbach. Nevertheless, you should have the necessary stamina for the three hours it takes to complete the whole circuit. Skating is not possible on this classically groomed trail.

The Magdalena Neuner trail not only offers fans of the three-time winner of the overall World Cup in the biathlon the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of their idol. The route itself is also worth seeing from a scenic point of view and has one or two highlights in store - such as the beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. The three-kilometre-long trail is also particularly snow-sure, thanks to the on-site snow-making system.

The start is in Wallgau, the birthplace of Magdalena Neuner. The small community in Garmisch-Patenkirchen is an ideal starting point for cross-country skiing, as it lies directly on the area's approximately 150-kilometre cross-country skiing network. For both classic cross-country skiing and skating fans, there are suitable cross-country trails from Wallgau.
