Snowshoeing is a pure nature experience. Trudging through fresh deep snow, enjoying the quiet winter landscape and breathing crystal-clear, ice-cold air – no wonder that the sport is becoming increasingly popular. However, if you are travelling in the Alps, you should plan well. In alpine terrain, equipment should always include a complete avalanche kit. When planning a route, not only protected areas must be taken into account, but also the current avalanche report and the weather forecast.
