BCMC trip with 7 total. Luke P and I leaving Van at 6pm to head to the hut and meet the others. Arrived at hut at about 02:00. Sat Dec 7 we left with Paul S and Shaun L aiming for Diamond Head. Because of poor visibility we lost the trail and ended up NW of the Columnar ridgeline which we followed to the summit. Dug a snow profile and ate lunch then rode down via an Easterly aspect then did another mini lap at the base of the mountain before returning to the hut. Sun Dec 8 we had fantastic vis but the snowpack had a crazy sun crust. Followed the proper trail to the first peak of The Gargoyles then rode down. Had lunch in the hut and returned to our vehicles.
