The route seeks out the most beautiful and logical line through the best rock of the Gehrenspitze south face. The route is secured in a plaisir-like manner and no additional mobile belays are necessary. The route climbs directly to the summit cross.

The "Pavelas" is certainly not one of the "must-do" tours in the Tannheim mountains, but it is certainly a good way to fill the day after one of the other south face tours.

Photo: Christian Reiser, Outdooractive Editors

Photo: Christian Reiser, Outdooractive Editors
Photo: Christian Reiser, Outdooractive Editors
Photo: Christian Reiser, Outdooractive Editors
