Bike rides in South Tyrol

Not far from Lake Kaltern and around 20 kilometres south of Bolzano in front of the "Erste + Neue" winery, this short but challenging tour starts in South Tyrol's Adige Valley.

The Dolomites cycle path from Toblach to Cortina d'Ampezzo (or further to Calalzo di Cadore) leads along the former railway line through the alpine mountain world of the Dolomites, through tunnels and over viaducts and bridges.

A picture-book pleasure tour. A well-developed MTB ascent combined with a unique ride down the Vinschgau Valley.

Valle Isarco/Eisacktal cycle path heading north on a consistently asphalted, sometimes narrow cycle path. Idyllic views of the surrounding mountains, always directly along the Eisack. The inclines are easy to cycle on a handbike with e-assistance.

Flat route through vineyards and apple orchards. Partly tarmac and short gravel sections. The way back to Oberplanitzing is steep.

Easy cycle path along the Passer river from Meran to St. Leonhard. Meadows, forests, apple orchards and high mountain peaks characterise the landscape.

Flat, scenic handbike tour through the wine villages of St. Michal, St. Pauls/Eppan, Adrian and Nals. From Gargazon, the route continues along the Adige river to Merano/Meran.

Demanding tour for hand bikers on tarmac farm tracks, partly gravelled. After the biotope at Lake Kaltern, uphill to Tramin and Kurtatsch. Magnificent views of the apple orchard valley.
