The Portuguese Camino de Santiago de Compostela is the second most popular variant of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela after the Camino Francés. Nevertheless, the Caminho Português is still a largely unknown route, where the pilgrimage is less established than in the Meseta of Castile. Hello... as a solo mature woman (65 yo) I would love to do this hike (from Porto and northwards). I am fit. Any comments about safety for women walking alone? please.

Hello, I'm sure that walking alone this hike is no problem. Many women specially also in your age make this hike alone. And also many other people speak English.
