From the Bad Sauerbrunn spa gardens, the trail leads over the G´spitzten Riegel up to the Rosalia Chapel with the most beautiful view in Burgenland. Return via Hofleiten, Forchtenstein Castle, Hausberg and Eisteiche and via Apfelrast back to the starting point.

This hiking route starts in Bad Sauerbrunn and combines beautiful landscapes with magnificent views and historic buildings in two nature parks in a unique way. If you prefer, you can also walk this route in 2 stages. Stage 1: Bad Sauerbrunn - Forchtenstein Castle, 14.10 km Stage 2: Forchtenstein Castle - Kobersdorf, 18.70 km

Anreise:Vom Bahnhof Heiligenstadt nach Kritzendorf Bahnhof. Wanderung über Hadersfeld nach Gugging/Lourdesgrotte (Busstation).

Abwechslungsreiche Kammwanderung von der Ruine Gutenstein über die Geißköpfe.

Einfacher kurzer Zustieg zur Edelweiss-Hütte von der Busstation Puchberg am Schneeberg Sesselbahn Talstation.

Schöne Rundwanderung südlich der Donau im Strudengau. Zwei Gipfel, der 503 m hohe Gipfelstein und der 532 m hohe Brandstetterkogel, auf dem die Viktoria-Adelheid-Schutzhütte des Österreichischen Touristenklubs steht, werden besucht.

This hike starts in front of Forchtenstein Castle and takes you along the sights of one of the most beautiful places in Austria. You walk along the lime kiln, the Heuberg University of Natural Resoures and Applied Life Sciences, the Rosalia chapel, the bathing reservoir, the Achazium, the pilgrimage church of the Virgin Mary with its carillon and the hausberg with the Stations of the Cross.

This section of the Burgenland long-distance hiking trail takes you from the community with the sweetest strawbeeries to the place with the smoothest mineral water. You hike through two nature parks: Rosalia-Kogelberg and Landseer Berge.

The Burgenland route 01 loads from Rust on Lake Neusiedlersee via Rosalia Mountains to Hochwolkersdorf. We continue the Preiner Gscheid towards Semmering.
